We are glad to present a new, tuneful edition of the "Four Serious Songs" by Johannes Brahms (1896, op. 121), modified to suit solo voice and organ. This edition, too, was created to remain as true to the original text as possible, at the same time using the special means offered by an organ performance. 

The score was edited by Andreas Ostheimer, inspired by an idea of Jens Paulus, Stuttgart. Jens Paulus also was the original singer of the score, performing it at June 22, 2008 at the New Apostolic Church of Tübingen.
